About AquaTie

Hi! I'm Marianne! I am the person behind all of the photos, videos & stories you see on Instagram & TikTok! I started AquaTie in July 2020, wanting to create practical, but yet beautiful products. The idea of water-resistant scrunchies simply came from wearing a cotton scrunchie at the pool. It ended up getting soaked with water, and took forever to dry. With a little bit of research, I learned regular fabric &elastic can disintegrate overtime, when exposed to chlorine or salt. This is when I decided to go forward with the idea. From supply shopping, to sewing, I was finally prepared to launch. To this day, my business is still growing and I CANNOT wait to see what the future holds! :)
